Announcing the Teaching APE Webinar

We're excited to announce a special webinar designed for university instructors who are looking to address elements of the American political economy within their undergraduate and graduate courses. We'll explore how engaging with APE's core questions on states and markets is vital for understanding the current dynamics in American politics and policy outcomes.

The webinar will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 1:30–3:00 PM EST. It will begin with talks by Sarah James (Gonzaga University) and Kathleen Thelen (MIT), who will share best practices for effective instruction, useful resources for designing syllabi, and concrete examples from the classroom. They will then be joined by Paul Pierson (UC Berkeley) and Nicholas Short (Georgia Tech) for an open Q&A session on instruction.
