The APE Affiliate Network is a dynamic new resource designed to connect scholars working on issues relating to the American Political Economy across institutions and disciplines.
Why join?
The network makes it easy to identify nearby experts, find collaborators, discover new scholars, and build visibility within the APE community.
👤 Affiliate Profiles
Each affiliate has a dedicated profile page which serves as a hub for their contact info, professional affiliations, and list of publications. Profiles also include research interest tags, so you can quickly identify each scholar’s areas of focus.

To join the network or update your profile, you will need to fill out a quick form where you will upload a profile picture, specify your institution and research interests, and provide links to your personal website, ORCID and/or Google Scholar page. If you haven’t yet, please consider adding a profile picture—it helps foster connections and put a face to the name!
Exploring the Network
The Affiliate Network offers two ways for you to explore the APE field: As a database and using geographic location. To select either option, click the relevant tab on the top of the page!
🔍 Database Search

The database search is the default option you will encounter when first entering the network page. This option features an alphabetical list of relevant scholars which can be further refined using the search tools on the left of the page. You can filter the list by selecting specific areas of interest, institutions, and professional titles. Clicking on any scholar on the list will take you directly to their profile page.
🗺️ Map Search

The map view gives you the option to explore affiliates by geographic location using an interactive map. Each pin on the map represents a different affiliate, color coded by their respective title (Faculty, Fellow or Grad Student).
To refine your search by research interest, click the funnel icon at the top right of the list window.
Clicking on a pin will open a small window that provides basic information about the scholar as well as a link to their full profile.
Keep in mind- you may need to zoom in to see all pins in high-density areas like New York City and Cambridge.
